AW Inflatables – Terms & Conditions

By booking with AW Inflatables, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions. A responsible adult (18+) must supervise all equipment at all times.


1. Safety & Supervision

  • A responsible adult (18+) must supervise at all times.
  • Inflatables: Outdoors use must be on real grass only (pegged down). Indoors setups do not require pegs.
  • Soft play: Indoors only. Outdoor use only permitted under a fully enclosed gazebo with flooring, in dry conditions.
  • Equipment must only be used in private gardens or hired venues – not public spaces.
  • Unless specifically hired as an adult inflatable, no one over 12 years old may use the inflatables.

2. Setup & Collection

  • Equipment will only be collected by AW Inflatables staff in uniform. Do not release equipment to anyone else.
  • The hiree is responsible for the equipment until collection.
  • Clear side access via a gate or alley is required. If access must go through a house, garage, shed, etc., AW Inflatables accepts no liability for damage caused.
  • Delays to access or blocked entrances may lead to refusal of delivery.

3. Equipment Use

  • No face-paints, glitter, chalk, party poppers, confetti, streamers, silly string, food, drink, pets, smoking, sharp objects, or shoes on/near the equipment.
  • Children must not be taller than inflatable walls.
  • No climbing, hanging, or sitting on walls.
  • Keep children away from blowers and power cables.
  • Do not move inflatables after setup – this is unsafe and voids insurance.
  • Weather rules:
    • Inflatables must not be used in wind speeds above 24mph.
    • If it rains, evacuate the inflatable but keep it running. Dry with towels before use again.
    • In hot weather, ensure socks are worn to prevent friction burns.

4. Soft Play

  • Must remain on mats provided.
  • Not to be used for sitting, eating, or drinking.
  • Indoor use only allowed.

5. Power & Electrical Supply

  • Each inflatable requires 1 mains socket per blower within 25m (50m if arranged).
  • Larger inflatables (e.g. Assault Course) require 2 blowers.
  • Blowers must remain running throughout the hire (they make a noise).
  • If a blower fails:
    • We may return to replace a fuse.
    • If safe, you may replace the fuse yourself – usually fixed within 2–3 minutes.
  • If using a generator (hired externally), AW Inflatables accepts no responsibility for failure. It is your responsibility to ensure it is powerful enough.
  • In the event of power cuts or insufficient venue electrics, no refund will be made.

6. Abuse & Misuse

Any abuse towards AW Inflatables staff, breaking of Terms & Conditions, or misuse of equipment will result in immediate cancellation with no refund.


7. Payment

  • Deposit: £50 due within 2 days of booking (deducted from balance).
  • Final balance: Must be paid before delivery or in cash on setup.
  • Bank transfer payments must be made by the evening before your booking so records can be updated.
  • No card machine is available on delivery.
  • If payment is not ready, we reserve the right to refuse the booking.

If the hiree cancels on arrival, or if we must cancel because:

  • the area is too small,
  • garden unsuitable or dirty,
  • access blocked or not as described,
  • too many steps,
  • no real grass (when required),

…the full hire fee will still be charged to cover loss of hire, wages, and time.


8. Cancellations & Bad Weather

  • More than 1 month before hire: Deposit non-refundable. 50% of balance due.
  • Within 2 weeks of hire: 70% of balance due.
  • Within 24 hours/on the day: Full balance due. Discretion may be used for rebooking.
  • Changing to lower-value equipment within 1 month: Deposit non-transferable. A new booking and deposit will be required.
  • Rearranging: You may move a booking once only, within 12 months. If you cancel again, any payments are forfeited.

Weather:

  • We do not cancel bookings – we only rearrange.
  • Inflatables can still be used in light showers.
  • We will only rearrange if there is torrential rain or winds above 24mph.
  • If you cancel due to rain/rain forecast, payment is still required, but you may rearrange once within 12 months.
  • Soft Play cannot be used outdoors.

9. School Bookings

  • Schools must have a wet/windy weather backup plan (e.g. indoor hall). If not, postponement allowed up to 6 months only.
  • If schools cancel for reasons other than weather, full payment is still required.

10. Care of Equipment

  • All items must be returned in the same condition they were delivered.
  • Charges apply:
    • £25 per missing item
    • £50 per missing accessory
    • £65 cleaning fee if equipment is returned dirty
  • Ball pit balls must be returned to the bags before collection.
  • Obstructions causing collection/delivery delays will incur a £35 per hour charge.

11. Liability

  • Equipment is used entirely at the hiree’s risk.
  • AW Inflatables accepts no liability for accidents, injuries, or damage caused by misuse or neglect.
  • The supervising adult must remove any child misusing the equipment.

12. Overnight Hires

  • Equipment may only be left overnight in a secure, locked garden.

Definitions

  • Hiree – the person booking and responsible for equipment.
  • Responsible Adult – an adult (18+) supervising equipment at all times.
  • Equipment – all inflatables, soft play, or hire items supplied by AW Inflatables.
