These are recognised within the UK's inflatable and leisure industry and relate to areas including equipment inspection, safety and operator competence.
Where applicable to the individual equipment, AW Inflatables uses appropriate recognised testing and inspection arrangements.

Safe Installation & Anchoring
Correct installation is essential to inflatable safety.
Before an inflatable is put into use, our team assesses the installation area and ensures the equipment can be appropriately secured.
For outdoor grass installations, this will normally involve suitable professional ground stakes.
Different surfaces may require alternative installation arrangements and must be agreed with us before your hire.
We may refuse installation where:
• The ground is unsuitable
• Safe anchoring cannot be achieved
• The setup area is too small
• The surface differs from that declared during booking
• Access creates an unacceptable safety risk
• Weather conditions make installation unsafe
If we cannot install an inflatable safely, we will not install it.
Weather & Wind Safety
Weather conditions are an important part of outdoor inflatable safety.
We monitor forecasts and assess conditions when necessary.
Inflatables must not be operated beyond their permitted wind limits.
As a general safety rule, equipment must not be operated where wind speeds or gusts exceed 24mph.
We may also suspend or refuse use at lower speeds where factors such as exposure, location, ground conditions, gusts or the individual equipment create an additional risk.
Our team may:
• Refuse installation
• Delay installation
• Suspend use
• Deflate equipment
• Cancel an outdoor setup
where conditions are considered unsafe.
Our team's safety decision is final.
Clean & Well-Maintained Equipment
Safety isn't only about anchoring and weather.
Cleanliness and equipment condition matter too.
Our equipment is subject to regular cleaning and inspection, with attention given to high-contact areas and general condition.

Equipment identified as unsafe will not be knowingly supplied for hire until the appropriate action has been taken.
Electrical Safety
Inflatable blowers and associated electrical equipment must be used correctly.
Where applicable, electrical equipment is inspected and maintained as part of our safety procedures.
Customers must provide a suitable electrical supply unless alternative power arrangements have been agreed.
Electrical connections should be kept appropriately protected and customers must not modify, relocate or interfere with blowers or electrical equipment.
Generators can also be supplied for suitable events where mains electricity isn't available.
Safe Supervision
Once an inflatable has been installed, safe supervision remains essential.
A responsible adult aged 18 or over must supervise equipment whenever required under the hire conditions.
Supervisors should:
✓ Control the number of users
✓ Separate users by age and size where appropriate
✓ Prevent rough or dangerous behaviour
✓ Prevent climbing on inflatable walls
✓ Stop flips and somersaults
✓ Keep food, drinks and prohibited substances away
✓ Monitor weather conditions during outdoor use
✓ Stop use immediately if a safety concern develops

For larger organised events, we can work with event organisers to establish the appropriate equipment and operational requirements.
